Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, shocked the world in 2020 when they quit their positions as senior members of the British Royal Family.

The couple fled the United Kingdom to start a new life in Southern California near the entertainment industry.

British broadcaster Helena Chard claimed the Duke of Sussex feels about his split from the Royal Family.

“When it comes to regrets, [the Duke and Duchess of Sussex] would be inhuman if they didn’t feel slight regrets surrounding how they handled departing the U.K. to pastures new,” Chard stated. “It will be Harry who has pangs of regret as service as part of the British Royal Family is all that he knew, and he will be missing certain aspects of his past life, namely the military culture and family unity.”

Harry and Meghan went on a tour airing their grievances against the Royal Family after they moved to the United States that burnt bridges.

Chard claimed that she was happy to return to California.

“Meghan may wonder about what things could have been, but I believe she doesn’t look back, is resolute with her decisions, and has little regret as she is not British,” Chard said. “She doesn’t have heartfelt ties to the Royal Family. She couldn’t wait to get away!”

A friend of the Royal couple told Closer Weekly that Harry is still struggling with life in the United States after five years.

“The world fell in love with the handsome prince and the American actress. That was the fantasy,” the friend told Closer Weekly.

But the reality of living in California has been hard on Harry after he became estranged from his family.

“They have tried to pinpoint the moment the public turned on them. The best they could come up with was when they started to speak up for themselves, but the last straw was when Harry left England. It was seen as a betrayal, and he broke his grandmother’s heart. That, along with Harry’s book and the Oprah interview – their fairy tale never recovered,” the friend explained.

He regrets losing contact with his father and brother, according to the friend.

“Harry has a few regrets about things he said about his family in his book and interviews,” the friend said. “But at this point, the rift with the Royal Family is here to stay. There’s no reconciliation in sight.”
